With the aim to bring together the various actors involved in the field of extracellular vesicles from various origins (CNRS, INSERM, INRA, universities…), Dr. Sophie Rome, and Drs Clotilde Théry, Ramaroson Andriantsitohaina and Guillaume van Niel, have organized a first meeting bringing together about one hundred French EVologists (Paris on October 27th and 28th, 2016). These days allowed for the first time to get together the entire French scientific community working on EVs, and the foundations of a French Society of Extracellular Vesicles (FSEV) were laid. This new scientific community shares the same objectives: to promote the development of studies on EVs  in many fields and to promote exchanges between all those who are interested in or involved in the research and use of extracellular vesicles.
